This is a single exhibit that illustrates an aneurysm in the right posterior cerebral artery and the placement of a catheter to help with blood flow.rnrnThe first image is a full underside image of the brain with the aneurysm illustrated and indicated with a box outline. The second image illustrates a figure with basic cardiovascular system branches and how the catheter is run from the femoral artery up through the carotid to the arteries of the brain. rnrnThe next two images are based on the boxed area of the first image. The first zoomed image illustrates the catheter reaching the aneurysm with the pipeline stent situated at the tip. The second zoomed image shows the blood flow through the stent once the catheter is removed, allowing the blood to bypass the aneurysm.
