Laryngoscopy and Partial Laryngectomy

This exhibit illustrates the insertion of the laryngoscope into the throat, and the view of the tumor on the right vocal cord as seen through the scope. The rest of the exhibit illustrates the steps taken to remove the tumor, including the initial anterior incision of the throat, the exposure of the tumor by cutting through the thyroid cartilage, and the dissection of the tumor and surrounding tissue.
