This a single custom exhibit board that depicts the pre-operative condition, three surgical steps, and a post-operative condition. The pre-operative condition is depicted using a posterior orientation view with a flare to denote the location of the L1, L2 vertebrae, and two axial view film interpretations showing the burst fractures of L1 and L2. The surgical steps include the incision line from T9 to L5, the laminectomy of L1 and L2 and drilling the right pedicle of L2 with an inset of a zoomed close-up of the L1-2 area, and the placement of screws, rods, and a crosslink, next to the actual AP film of all the hardware in place. The post-operative condition is illustrated with a lateral film interpretation with the hardware in place, noting that there is only one screw each in L1 and L2, with an inset of the actual side film.
