This is a fully custom board depicting three surgeries undertaken after the previous hip replacement seen in the first exhibit board.rnrnThe first surgery shown is the removal of bone overgrowth from around the existing replacement equipment for better femoral movement. There are two images for this, one giving the depiction of the burr removing the bone, and the second a film interpretation of the post-operative condition of the bone and equipment.rnrnThe middle of the board breaks down the steps of the second subsequent surgery with two images. The first image includes the first four steps including the removal of the femoral head piece, removal of the acetabular component, and the extended trochanteric osteotomy lifting the cortical bone to remove the femoral component, which is removed in three pieces. The second image includes the next three steps of the surgery such as the reconstruction of the acetabulum with allograft, the inclusion of a plate and screws to stabilize the allograft, and the insertion of cement spacers.rnrnThe last surgery includes two images, one showing the removal of the cement spacers, the second showing the insertion and securing of the final replacement equipment as based off of the patient’s post-operative film.
