This board shows a sagittal view of the patient’s cervical spine and the placement of the needles in C3-C4, C4-C5, and C5-C6. The second image and included inset show how when the contrast was introduced to the vertebral disc of C5-C6, some of the fluid escaped into the spinal canal, causing the patient pain.
