Pre and Post Operative Conditions

This medical exhibit features the following multiple images side-by-side comparative images of abdominal contents before and after the third surgery- Images : Pre-operative Condition: 1.6M of the ischemic and necrotic bowel was previously removed from abdomen with an additional 15cm of ischemic distal jejunum. Post-operative Condition 15cm of ischemic jejunum removed. A tunneled and mature jejunal stump will be seen exiting the original ileostomy opening, and a G-Tube (feeding tube). Subsequent short bowel syndrome- with pain, diarrhea, weight loss, malnutrition and fatigue.
