This medical exhibit begins with one sagittal (side cutaway) view of the cervical spine with disc herniations clearly evident at C4-5 and C5-6. This image is based off of the MRIs. The second image illustrates the initial incision of the neck. The third image portrays the removal of the intervertebral discs at C4-5. The fourth image shows the C4-5 disc has already been removed and the end plates of C5-6 is being prepared. The fifth image features the insertion of the implants. The sixth image depicts the attachment of the plate.
