Right Knee Injuries with Surgical Repairs

ID: exh64124
This stock medical exhibit begins with one anterior view of the right knee with the skin and subcutaneous tissue removed clearly illustrating a tear of the right patellar tendon, as well as the tears of the transverse retinaculum. Also shown in this exhibit are the key steps of the tendon and retinaculum repair procedure. Finally, one additional view of the knee is included to illustrate the subsequent condition. This lateral view of the knee reveals the arthrofibrosis and the incomplete flexion of the knee with text describing how the contracture of the quadriceps tendon limits flexion of the knee to 70 degrees.
