Subtrochanteric Fracture with Surgical Fixation

This medical exhibit details a subtrochanteric fracture with subsequent surgical fixation. Two images at left demonstrate the nature and extent of the fractured femur. The surgical repair is documented using four images. The first and second images show the preparation and installation of the intramedullary nail. The final image at right shows the nail in place with a compression screw as a radiographic interpretation. The actual radiograph is shown below that as an inset.
