Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome

This stock medical exhibit depicts twin to twin transfusion syndrome in a series of illustrations. The first illustration shows normal twin anatomy in the uterus. Twin A and Twin B are nearly identical in size with blood flow supplied by individual placentas and individual umbilical cords. The second illustration shows twin to twin syndrome. Twin A and Twin B are disproportionate in size with blood flow supplied by a common placenta and umbilical cords. Twin A bcomes a smaller, anemic donor of blood flow for the larger Twin B.
