Three-Piece Inflatable Penile Prosthesis

ID: exh84100b
This medical exhibit depicts the process of implanting a three-piece inflatable penile prothesis. The first step in the process shows the initial incision made at the base of the penis. The second step depicts the opening of the corporal bodies within the penis and the dilation of the tissue inside. The third step illustrates the insertion of a saline reservoir behind the pubic bones. Next, the prosthetic cylinders are inserted into the dilated corporal bodies. Finally, the pump is placed inside the scrotum and all tubes are connected.
