Right Shoulder Injuries with Subsequent Arthroscopic Repairs

ID: exh59886a
This stock medical exhibit depicts the pre-operative condition of right shoulder injuries with subsequent arthroscopic repairs through multiple images. The two images on the left show the pre-operative condition from an anterior view of the right shoulder indicating a partial tear of the supraspinatus tendon, a partial tear of the biceps tendon, inflammation of the bursa and coracoacromial ligament. From a lateral view, a partial tear of the posterior labrum and a complex tear of the anterior labrum are shown. The first image of the arthroscopic repairs shows an orientational view of the shoulder with the instruments inserted into the joint. The next image shows the removal of the subacromial bursa. Next is the removal of the coracoacromial ligament. The final image shows a burr being used to smooth the anterior surface of the acromion.
