This exhibit begins with one skeletal view of the left lower leg illustrating the fractures of the left tibia and fibula as seen in the post-accident x-rays. Also, the key steps of the intra-medullary femoral fixation procedure are illustrated step by step. The first surgical image depicts the incision, The next images illustrate the insertion of the intra-medullary nail and the locking screws. The final pre-operative condition is illustrated in the final image. Both the post-accident and post -operative illustrations are based directly on the films. The actual films are also included in the exhibit for comparison.
