Pre-operative Condition of the Lumbo-sacral Spine

ID: exh69950
This medical exhibit features three different views of the lumbar spine revealing this regions from a lateral (side) skeletal view, a sagittal (side cut-away) view and an axial (horizontal cross section) view. rnThese images reveal spondylolisthesis at L4-5 and L5-S1 and associated degenerative changes including hypertrophy of the laminae and ligamentum flavum. The axial view shows that the hypertophy on the left is digging into, and has become adherant to, the dura which was torn during the laminectomy procedure.
