Obstruction of Left Ureter with Hydronephrosis and Infection

This stock medical exhibit features one anterior view of the torso of a middle aged Caucasian female figure revealing the anatomy of the urinary system transparently beneath the skin. The anatomy of the kidney, ureters and bladder are in coronal section with the front half removed providing a clear view into these structures. This illustration shows a calculus at the junction of the left ureter and bladder completely blocking urine flow. Also, shown is an enlarged hydronephrotic kidney with infection and multiple abscesses and purulence within the urine down through the ureter.
