Male Figure with Brain Injury, Damage to the Spleen and Mesenteric Vessels, and Fractures of the Feet Bilaterally

ID: exh69224a
This medical exhibit begins with one silhouette view of the full body revealing the skeletal anatomy from the head down to the feet. Also, the abdominal anatomies shown within the torso including the colon and colonic mesentery, and the frontal portions of the skull will be cut away to reveal the brain. This image provides an overall orientation to all the major injuries in this case including the right foot fractures, left foot fractures, left elbow fractures, left upper leg fracture, right lower leg fracture, right subdural hematoma, right clavicle fracture, multiple rib fractures and abdominal hemorrhage from a damaged spleen and torn mesenteric arteries. Multiple inset views reveal the more difficult to see injuries: the bilateral foot fractures, the subdural hematoma in the brain and the mesenteric tears and hemorrhage.
