This exhibit consists of six illustrations. The first illustration portrays the preoperative condition of the lumbosacral spine. The disk herniation at L5-S1 is clearly depicted. This illustration is based directly off of the radiology films.rnThe second illustration shows the initial incision being made in the back. The third illustration depicts the laminectomy being performed. The fourth illustration portrays the diskectomy being performed. The fifth illustration shows the insertion of the cages into the disk space. The sixth illustration depicts the placement of the pedicle screws and rods.
