This image clearly reveals the spurring and overgrowth of the acromion and distal clavicle with resulting classic impingement syndrome. Also, included in this image is a massive tear of the supraspinatus tendon with extensive retraction.rnrnAlso included are multiple steps of the subacromial decompression and rotator cuff repair procedure are illustrated. These steps include: the insertion of arthroscopic instruments, debridement of the glenoid labrum, subacromial bursa and rotator cuff, removal of osteophytes and insertion of shoulder suture anchors securing the torn rotator cuff.
