Left Lower Leg Fractures with Subsequent Deformity

ID: exh68023a
This stock medical exhibit depicts left lower leg fractures with subsequent deformity. The first images show the normal anatomy of the lower leg and foot from the medial and anterior views. Next, an anterior view is used to show the initial condition, with transverse fractures of the tibia and fibula. Then, a medial view shows the subsequent condition with severe angulation of the fractures. Finally, another medial view shows the eventual deformity with the fractures healed in a severely angulated position. Actual x-ray films appear as insets.
