Left Knee Injury with Surgical Repair

This stock medical exhibit depicts left knee injuries with arthroscopic repairs. The first image shows the pre-operative condition, with tears of teh medial and lateral menisci, chondromalacia of the patella and femur, and bruising and microfracture of the tibial plateau. The remaining images depict multiple steps of the repair procedure, including the insertion of arthroscopic instruments into the knee joint, debridement of the chondromalacia and of both meniscal tears, and debridement of the hypertrophic synovial tissue.
