Left Foot Injuries

ID: exh75127a
This medical exhibit begins with one large posterolateral view of the left foot. This view shows the foot from behind, slightly from the lateral side and slightly from above so that one can fully appreciate the area of injury in this case. We clearly show the large area of soft tissue avulsion and laceration extending around behind the heal and across the lateral aspect of the foot with additional avulsion injuries of several toes . Also, one additional view is created from the same angle with the skin shown completely transparent providing a silhouette view revealing the underlying skeletal anatomy. This view illustrates the multiple fractures and dislocations of the various metatarsals and phalanxes of the toes.
