L3-4 and L4-5 Disc Herniations with Subsequent Foot Drop
This stock medical exhibit portrays two conditions of L3-4 and L4-5 disc injuries and subsequent left foot drop. Two sagittal sections of the lumbar spine illustrate the initial and later conditon of the disc injuries with spinal canal narrowing. Axial CT scans and a sagittal myelogram accompany the drawings. Pain symptoms from the left sided L4-5 disc herniation is shown radiating down the left leg in posterior female silhoutte. An additional lateral view of drop foot with a ghosted view of normal foot position, indicating loss of dorsiflexion due to nerve compression, is also included.
