Discogenic Disease and Spinal Stenosis with Surgical Decompression and Fusion
Discogenic Disease and Spinal Stenosis with Surgical Decompression and Fusion

This exhibit begins with one sagittal (side cut-away) view of the lumbar spine illustrating the pre-operative condition. This image clearly reveals disc protrusions at T12-L1, L1-2, L2-3, L3-4 and L5-S1, as well as the epidural scarring at the L5 level due to the previous right sided laminotomy. This image is based specifically on the pre-operative MRI film print mounted beside the color interpretation. Also, four steps of the L4-5 laminectomy and L4-S1 posterior segmental fixation and fusion procedure are illustrated.
