This stock medical exhibit shows angiographic catheter placement in a series of illustrations. The first exhibit shows an anterior view of the heart, including the left main coronary artery and the left circumflex artery. The second illustration is an enlargement of the first, showing spontaneous dissection (torn intimal flap), 90-95% occlusion of the proximal circumflex artery and total occlusion of the left anterior descending branch of the left main coronary artery. The third illustration shows the placement of an angiographic catheter in the left main coronary artery. The fourth illustration shows stent placement in an anterior view of the heart. The fifth illustration shows a detailed view of the stent placement, including the use of a guide wire.
